Editor Meetings - Author and Editor Interviews: Bihter Sabanoğlu & Ferhat Uludere
October guests of the Editor Meetings series Discovery of Suspicious Things Bihter Sabanoğlu, who won great acclaim with her first novel, and Ferhat Uludere, the editor of the book. We will talk to them about the adventure of the first novel from the creation process to the publishing stage. We will discuss the sources the author draws on when writing her first work, the difficulties she encountered, how she crossed paths with the publishing house and the experiences during this process, as well as what the editor pays attention to when handling the first novel, the effects of the author-editor relationship on the book and the dynamics of the preparation process carried out together. We will also hear from Bihter Sabanoğlu, who is a writer and art critic as well as a PhD candidate in Byzantine Art History, about the role of these studies in her novel, and from Ferhat Uludere, the editorial director of Edisyon Kitap, about the publishing house's approach to opening up space for new writers and how this principle has shaped their publishing approach.
