Friendship between Ottoman and European Women Writers

The transnational relations of Ottoman and European women in the First Wave feminist movement will be discussed. It will focus on the circulation of feminist ideas between the Ottoman Empire and Europe through translations, travels and journalistic activities, encounters, interactions and exchanges with the development of travel and press technologies.
