The first comprehensive digital edition of Virginia Woolf's last unfinished work of literary history The Digital 'Anon' now available! In the last years of her life, Woolf turned to exploring the origins of English literature, and today Anon with The Reader known as the "The Gesture", a series of fragmentary drafts of texts.
This project brings together a total of 273 pages spread across 43 manuscripts and typed drafts, offering a rare glimpse into Woolf's evolving thinking about literary language. Although parts of this work have been previously published, The Digital 'Anon the first edition to present the entire corpus in a single source.
Virginia Woolf's visionary approach to literary history is now fully accessible to readers, researchers and scholars.
